Summertime

July 21st, 2006

I have just finished teaching my last summer school class for 2006.  I have mixed feelings, happy that I now have some time for myself and my family and sad that these students may not have any structure to their summer.  I hope that they will go some place they enjoy and just have fun with their family and not just sitting in front of a television.  I have gained a great deal of knowledge this summer by enrolling in  technology classes.  This is my first blog ever.  I will try to incorporate blogging into my weekly schelude for personal blogging and to blog with the students in my classes.  I wish all of the readers a restful summer and I hope everyone gains more experience with incorporating technology with our diverse student population.

How can I use this in my classroom?

July 18th, 2006

I will use blogging to post study questions for reading lesson, vocabulary words, study sheet and quizzes.  I will also us this to have students comment on their job site on a daily basis when they come back into the classroom orior to dismissal.  There should be at least 1 blog for every 2 days of off campus.  For example if they go off campus 4 days a week they should have at least 2 blogs.  If they go off campus 3 days a week they should have at least 2 blogs eyc.
